• If you are not planning on planting your seed immediately, or are planning for long-term storage of your seed packages, you don't have to worry about proper long-term storage seed handling any more, thanks to our new "Freezer Ready" option for our seed packages. Choosing this popular option signals our trained professionals to properly dry your seed order using FDA-approved food-grade desiccant, then heat-seal the seed and approximately one pound (US) of desiccant into one of our Heavy Duty Mylar bags and ship it to you. Once you receive the seed, it is ready to go straight into your freezer for long-term frozen storage. Properly handled and frozen, our seed can last for 40+ years or more and still retain full germination. We also include the book Seed Sowing and Saving to help assure you have all of the necessary tools to prepare for your future food-security needs.
• Potassium Iodate Tablets - Nobody can predict a nuclear accident or attack, but we can all plan for the ensuing radiation poisoning and prevent it with Potassium Iodate (KI). The risk from nuclear fallout is the radioactive iodine particles that collect in one's thyroid gland. Potassium Iodate fills the thyroid gland with its own "good iodine", and prevents the "bad iodine" from entering it, then forcing harmlessly though the body's waste system. Each bottle consists of a 60-day supply for one adult or two children (or two pets). Add a bottle for each of your family members to your medicine kit or preparedness kit to prepare for the worst.

If your home soils are poor quality, or if you don't want to have to kneel and bend over all the time, raised planters are the answer you may be looking for. But unless you are very handy with wood and power tools, and have a decent understanding of construction, you will be forced to purchase your raised beds. The problem that we found was that most raised bed kits were too poorly made, too difficult to assemble, too difficult to move (or permanent) once assembled, way too expensive, cost an arm and a leg for shipping, or were just plain ugly looking.
